So the Balmain x H&M collaboration look-book was released last week! Now, we’re getting a closer look at some of the price points we can expect before the collection hits the stores on November 5th. It’s being marketed as an accessibly-priced collection of more than 100 pieces for both men and women. But that may be a matter of opinion since the collection includes items that will have you shelling out well over the $500 mark! But if you’ve been dreaming of having your closet house a Balmain piece and your pockets have been in the way, all’s not lost because there are items under $100! …. But the honey, in my opinion, are the ones you can grab for under $200. Check out a few of my favorite …
It never fails however, … the ones I fell in love with and are probably more suited to my style are some of the most expensive pieces! … My mother always told me I had champagne taste and beer pockets!! … I just may have to splurge a little!
“Loved it when I say it on Kendal Jenner” $549
“This jacket is to die for” … $399
Since taking over in 2011, Creative director Olivier Rousteing, who at age 25 was the youngest creative director of a Parisian fashion house. Now at 28 years old mind you … he has been credited with bringing a fresh, popular-culture aesthetic to the house, while staying true to its spirit and tradition. His luxurious designs have earned him many of fans, that include the likes of Naomi Campbell, with a fresher clan to include Kendal Jenner and his friendship with his muse, Rihanna, who by the way was his inspiration behind this latest collection.
The unveiling of Alexander Wang x H&M came with a performance by Missy Elliott, and in 2011, Versace x H&M pulled both Prince and Nicki Minaj. We can only imagine who will grace the stage for Balmain x H&M! If only I had an invitation!
